His clinical exposure has included rehabilitation of people with neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, Guillain–Barré syndrome and spinal cord disorders.
During his postgraduate clinical training at Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, Mangaluru, he received exposure to rehabilitation approaches including Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Motor Relearning Programme and task-oriented training.

Research on Stroke Rehabilitation

“Effect of Eccentric Versus Concentric Strengthening on Functional Mobility in Subacute Stroke Patients: A Randomized Parallel-Group Comparative Study.”
The project explored strengthening approaches and their relationship with functional mobility in people recovering from subacute stroke.
His interest in stroke rehabilitation has also extended to systematic review research.
One of his research projects examines the effectiveness of eccentric strengthening interventions on functional outcomes in adults after stroke.

Farseen Mohammed P’s work in stroke rehabilitation received recognition at SYNERGOS 2026.
He received the First Prize in the Oral Paper Presentation, Postgraduate Category, for his presentation titled:
“Effectiveness of Eccentric Strengthening Interventions in Stroke Rehabilitation: A Systematic Review.”
The presentation was held on 9 May 2026 at Girideepam Convention Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
The recognition highlighted his involvement in research-based academic presentation within the field of physiotherapy.
Presentation at Mangalore PhysioCon 2026
Farseen also presented his postgraduate research at Mangalore PhysioCon 2026, an international physiotherapy conference held in Mangaluru.
His presentation, titled “Effect of Eccentric Versus Concentric Strengthening on Functional Mobility in Subacute Stroke Patients,” was presented in the postgraduate scientific session.
The conference took place on 10–11 April 2026 at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre, Mangaluru.
Interest in Parkinson’s Rehabilitation
Farseen Mohammed P’s research interests are not limited to stroke rehabilitation.
