The stars shined bright at the 2023 Screen Actor Guild Awards — really bright — with eye-catching yellow gowns punctuating the usual sea of black sequins. But who really turned on the glam?

Hollywood’s over-50 actresses, of course. Here’s a sampling of the evening’s best looks.

Self-proclaimed “nepo baby” Jamie Lee Curtis stood out from the crowd in a long-sleeved red Romona Keveza gown with a plunging neckline and the wedding ring her father, Tony Curtis, gave her

mother, Janet Leigh. In accepting the award for outstanding female actor in a supporting role, the Everything Everywhere All at Once star — and AARP Movies for Grownups honoree — couldn’t

contain her excitement. “The truth of the matter is I am 64 years old, and this is just amazing! What a dream!”

The Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever actress took center stage in a form-fitting, bright yellow, off-the-shoulder Giambattista Valli couture gown adorned with organza ruffles at the neckline

and hem. Bassett accessorized the look with a Judith Leiber seashell-shaped clutch bedazzled with gemstones. She told People that her recent spate of honors “feels absolutely tremendous,

wonderful and just so satisfying. I'm really appreciative, humbled absolutely, and grateful."

Yeoh, another MFG winner, turned heads in a black strapless ankle-length dress with yellow fringe by Schiaparelli couture, accessorized with Moussaieff yellow diamond chandelier earrings and

ring. The Everything Everywhere All at Once actress tearfully accepted the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role — the first Asian woman to win in that

category — acknowledging the long-overdue embrace of diversity in Hollywood. “Thank you for giving me a seat at the table,” she said. “We want to be seen. We want to be heard. And I am

eternally grateful.”

Third time’s the charm for the Tár actress. Blanchett dazzled in a low-cut, form-fitting sequin-and-lace black refurbished Giorgio Armani Privé dress she originally wore to the Golden Globes

in 2014 and Cannes in 2018.

SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher was in fine form at the ceremony. The Nanny star sparkled in a long-sleeved black-and-gold sequined gown with a keyhole neckline by Naeem Khan. The dress,

she said, was a nod to “old Hollywood glamour. And I was so excited to wear it.”

The Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story nominee wore an eye-popping canary yellow strapless gown custom designed by Vera Wang. She finished the look with a silver Tyler Ellis clutch

bag and jewelry from Martin Katz. Typically known for comedic fare, Nash-Betts said she relished the chance to take on a dramatic role. “I am more than just the funny girl,” she noted. “I

have a couple of tricks up my sleeve.”
