CHARLIE AND NAGA MUNCHETTY WERE BACK ON BBC BREAKFAST - AND ONE INTERVIEW TOOK A RATHER AWKWARD TURN DURING THE 6AM TIL 9AM SHOW. 10:18, 16 Feb 2024 BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt has

awkwardly cut off a guest as he says "stop talking" during an awkward exchange on Friday. Charlie and Naga Munchetty were back on BBC Breakfast - and one interview took a rather

awkward turn during the 6am til 9am show. The duo chatted with former miner David Nixon and 97-year-old Brenda Boyle, who were in the studio at Media City in Salford in Manchester, whose

four sons were miners. The interview coincided with a documentary which is due to air about the miners' strike Naga told the pair: "It has been a pleasure to chat to you

both," before Charlie went on to ask: "Have you been well looked after? Have you had a cup of tea?" Brenda then replied to him by saying: "I have had a lot of cups of

tea." READ MORE HMRC WILL PAY £299 TO 700,000 UK HOUSEHOLDS TODAY 'IF THEY ARE ELIGIBLE' Naga said: "Brenda Boyle and David Nixon, thank you both so much. Miners'

Strike: A Frontline Story is a compelling watch actually and it is available on the iPlayer on Sunday." Charlie said: "It is a big learning curve, isn't it? Even if

you're old enough to remember." Article continues below "I didn't mention," Brenda said. "When my lads got beat up..." she then said. Naga replied:

"There are so many stories and they're told in that film and they're powerfully told." Brenda said: "They were beat up really." Charlie then said: The stories

are well documented. "I am in this awkward position when I have to tell you to stop talking." Charlie explained: "I don't want to do that, I don't want to."

Naga then cheekily said: "Brenda is in shock about how you have just spoken to her..." "I am sorry. What can I say?" Charlie then asked. Naga replied: "Charlie...

that's awkward, isn't it?" BBC Breakfast continues to air each and every weekday from 6am.
