few months, and can now open talks to complete new signings after the transfer window opened on Sunday. Mbeumo is thought to be top of the club's shortlist Champions League football


returns to St James' Park next season. However, the Magpies would have known that they are not the only club showing an interest in signing Mbeumo. Now, a fresh update has emerged about

Devils are yet to agree a deal for Mbeumo, but the player apparently sees Old Trafford as his preferred destination with the two clubs expected to begin talks over a transfer. Brentford are


reported to value Mbeumo at around £60million this summer. The Cameroon international's contract at the Gtech Community Stadium is set to expire in the summer of 2026, but the Bees do


have the option of another year in the deal. Mbeumo has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, as well as Newcastle, over the last few months. Article continues below The


25-year-old scored 20 goals and provided eight assists for Brentford in the Premier League last season. That form saw the forward finish fourth in the Golden Boot race, behind only Mohamed


Salah (29), Alexander Isak (23) and Erling Haaland (22). If Man United were to sign Mbeumo it remains to be seen where Eddie Howe's side would go next for an alternative. The transfer
