in Newcastle(Image: Lane7) Boutique bowling company Lane7 has teased details of its newest venue in Newcastle city centre. The fast-growing entertainment group, which first launched in

Newcastle in 2011, revealed last year how it was planning to open another two sites in the city centre, starting with a second Lane7 at The Gate, set over two floors at the former nightclub

and bar The Lofts and The Hustle.

Plans then emerged for a subterranean gaming centre in the former Sports Direct store at Monument Mall. The prime Northumberland Street building is also being transformed to become the new

home for Lloyds Bank.

‌ Site plans showed how the basement area will be divided up, with everything from pool tables, air hockey and arcade games to duckpin bowling lanes, which is similar to ten pin bowling but

the pins are shorter and lighter, making it more difficult to get a strike. Now it can be revealed that the venue is weeks away from being opened in the basement of the building under the

name ML7 - the first under its new brand which stands for mini Lane7.

rebellious younger sibling, and it’s going to be faster, scrappier, more spontaneous. It’s the ‘sling your bag down, grab a cue, and figure it out as you go’ kind of night out. Where Lane7

is the destination, ML7 is the detour that becomes the plan."

us to pour your pints. We’ll just hold you up.

"Whether you’re swinging by after shopping, starting your night out, or escaping the office for a post-work pool session, ML7 makes play instant. No faff, no queues, no bar tab required.
