FOUR-MONTH-OLD GIRL "IN DELICATE HEALTH" AND HER MOTHER HAD BEEN REPORTED MISSING IN NANCY A FOUR-AND-A-HALF-MONTH-OLD girl, who was the subject of an “alerte enlèvement”
yesterday, has been found safe and well. The official alert, similar to the ‘amber alerts’ for missing children in Canada and America, was issued via the government’s Alerte Enlèvement
website yesterday afternoon after the child disappeared with her mother from a centre maternel in Nancy at 11pm on Thursday. It was the 13th time an alerte elevement had been issued since
the system was set up in 2006. It has resulted in the safe discovery of a missing child every time. The mother and baby had been last seen with her child getting into a waiting vehicle at
the entrance to the unit. The pair, along with the baby’s father and a 15-year-old child, were found early this morning in a vehicle in Phalsbourg, Moselle. Neither the mother nor the
father, who both have mental health issues, had custody of the baby, by a court decision.
