Show MeNo thanks, closeSee ourPrivacy NoticeNuneaton veterans will host their annual D-Day Landings parade this weekend. Once again, the Nuneaton branch of the Royal Fusiliers Association will pay homage to those who lost their lives
during the D-Day landings.
'Normandy Day' refers to June 6, 1944, when Allied Forces took part in the largest seaborne invasion in history. The local parade and service will be held on Saturday, June 7.
It will see a service take place at the Royal Warwickshire Regiment Memorial in Riversley Park. It is located behind the Museum and Art Gallery.

The parade will meet at the Gurkha Corner pub on Coton Road at 1pm and then will fall in from 2.30pm. It will march off at 2.55pm.
The service at the memorial, which was updated in June 2023 to include the name of local hero fallen fusiliers, is open to anyone to attend. Wreaths will be laid at the foot of the memorial
to remember those in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment who played a brave and important part in one of the pivotal battles of the Second World War.
