starring Angie Kent was beaten in the overnight metro ratings by her old show, Gogglebox Australia. On Thursday, only 631,000 people in the five capital cities tuned in to watch Angie take

part in her first single and group dates. Meanwhile, 704,000 metro viewers watched Gogglebox, which aired immediately afterwards on Channel 10 in the 8:40pm time slot. The Bachelorette

significantly outrated Channel Seven's Bride and Prejudice, however, which drew in 384,000 metro viewers. RELATED ARTICLES Channel Nine's The Block was the most-watched

entertainment program of the night, with an audience of 747,000 in the five capital cities. Love Island Australia attracted just 240,000 metro viewers, but this figure does not represent the

overall popularity of the show.  Love Island, which skews towards a much younger audience than other Nine shows, is known to attract significant ratings on streaming platform 9Now.

Angie's debut as the Bachelorette was a modest ratings hit on Wednesday, with 716,000 metro viewers watching the season premiere.   On Thursday's episode, Angie sent home

contestant 'Dirty Jess' Glasgow for making inappropriate sexual remarks towards her and several female crew members.  The 37-year-old politician, who is facing calls to resign as a

local councillor in Noosa, had been accused of making women on set 'feel uncomfortable'.  Before sending Jess home, Angie told him: 'You made me feel uncomfortable. You took

it too far. You're going to have to leave.' The Bachelorette continues Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
