She shot to fame in her role as Lauren Branning in EastEnders at the tender age of 17. 


And after more than a decade in the public eye, Jacqueline Jossa, 28, has revealed she has had to deal with negative comments from trolls ever since she was a teenager. 


Speaking on Instagram, the actress said: 'Since the age of 17 I've had online abuse and negative comments. It's a lot. Words do hurt.'

taken to stop cyber bullying. 


She told her followers: 'Listen, I'm quite shocked about how shocked people are about the abuse that we get online.


'I put something up- which I rarely do - and I'm shocked at you guys' response that you're so shocked by it. 


'Absolutely vile': The candid confession comes after Jacqueline spoke out about her longterm struggles with internet trolls earlier this month 'It's every single day without fail there will


be someone in the DMs being absolutely vile to me.' 


Jacqueline continued: 'There will be someone in the DMs being absolutely vile to every single person that's in the public eye, saying horrible things, getting into their brains.


'There should be something that's done about it. Even something as simple as showing a form of ID before you get a profile.


'We should all be held accountable for our actions. We shouldn't be able to make seven different accounts to abuse the same person, so something should be done about it.'


Jacqueline had earlier outed a troll who took it upon himself to DM her with cruel comments after she shared she had lost half a stone. 


ADVERTISEMENT Replying to a glamorous snap she had posted on her profile, the Instagram user told her: 'You getting fat' (sic). 


He then continued to hurl abuse as he said: 'You sure got a double chin' and advised her to 'keep up the weight loss'. 


Alongside the screen grabs of their interaction, Jacqueline told her fans: 'What a pr**k.'
