Corfu hotel regulars attack 'pathetic chavs' as Brit gran whinges about 'no English food'Lido Corfu Sun Hotel has been forced to defend its food offering after a British holidaymaker

English food have clapped back at "pathetic chavs" leaving negative reviews.
The Lido Corfu Sun Hotel found some fame after Susan Edwards, 69, kicked off about the shortage of chips and her growing boredom with rice. Following the complaint made by the nan, the
hotel's boss defended his buffet spread, boasting about the "generous and diverse" menu that includes "fresh salads, fruits, hot and cold dishes" provided daily.
Now, loyal guests are flocking to Tripadvisor and Google Reviews to stick up for their favourite hotel, claiming Ms Edwards' complaints are bang out of order. One was so annoyed they wrote
their debut Tripadvisor critique just to slag off other holidaymakers as "pathetic chavs".
Susan complained of rice fatigue (Image: Iain Buist/Newcastle Chronicle) This brand-new account, which popped up this month likely due to the incident, slapped a full five-star rating on
the Lido Corfu Sun Hotel. The review reads: "Don't listen to pathetic chavvy Brits and Poles who bought the cheapest 'all Inclusive' package in existence and demanded type of service only
the most entitled and uncouth would.
"It's a fine, charming little place. Close to water, nice food and clean facilities. Thankfully, no British food!

out their way to cater for Scottish visitors," reports the Mirror.
Many guests are fans of the buffet (Image: Iain Buist/Newcastle Chronicle) With their tongue seemingly in their cheek, they added: "We enjoyed draught Tennant's lager, Irn Bru was on tap
(diet and full fat), square sausage on a roll at breakfast, scotch pies and bridies at lunchtime, and there was always a choice of haggis or mince 'n tatties at dinner.
"Tunnock's tea cakes and shortbread were available all day, along with Scottish Blend tea. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. The Greek dishes are also immense, which is a
bonus, as Corfu is in Greece."
Adding to this, the vast majority of guests on Google Reviews have given Lido Corfu Sun Hotel a glowing five-star rating. A plethora of these top-notch reviews have surfaced in recent days,
countering the criticism.
The Corfu holiday clapped back(Image: Iain Buist/Newcastle Chronicle) One reviewer praised: "The food is delicious. The service is great. We arrived at 4am and at 8am we got a room and
wristbands and we could use everything. On the day of departure after adding the key to the transfer itself we could use all the facilities and food. We sincerely recommend."
This is a stark contrast to the "horrendous" holiday experience of Ms Edwards, a gran from Westerhope, Newcastle. She was left reeling from the moment she and her family touched down.
Susan was given £100 holiday vouchers(Image: Iain Buist/Newcastle Chronicle) Discussing the food on offer at the hotel, she fumed: "There was no bacon. For breakfast there was mozzarella
and sliced tomatoes. There was no hot bacon or sausage.
"We got chips one day. One day out of the whole lot. There was fish, sardines and rice - I was sick to death of looking at rice. There was pasta and salads, none of this was marked
(labelled). One night there was a Greek night and they had kebabs, I couldn't eat that. It's the worst holiday I've ever been on."
TUI tried to smooth things over by offering £100 in holiday vouchers, expressing regret over her ordeal. A spokesperson stated: "Our priority is to ensure customers have the best possible
holiday experience, so we are sorry to hear that Ms Edwards felt dissatisfied with her holiday. We have been in touch directly with Ms Edwards to come to a resolution."
