Jun 2025 A British tourist plummeted to her death after falling from 25ft a hotel walkway in the early hours of this morning. The incident happened in a popular location with British holiday
makers. Local police confirmed a woman from Doncaster, aged 58, was announced dead at Patong, Thailand – after falling six to seven meters from a walkway ascending a building. Local police
attended the incident in the earlier hours of the morning at 2.40am local time and initial investigations revealed the woman had been out dining and drinking with her boyfriend earlier in
the evening. The couple were reportedly heading back to their hotel in Rath-U-THi 200 Pi Road when the fatal incident occurred. Local police say the woman was believed to be intoxicated at
the time of the tragic incident. As a result of the fall she sustained a number of injuries including, a broken neck, fractured nose, facial bruising and broken bones in her ankle and wrist.
The lady was quickly transported to Kusoldharm hospital after the fall. Despite medical staff's efforts she succumbed to her injuries shortly after her arrival at the hospital. Article
continues below Local police have requested a post-mortum examination and are working with the British Embassy to inform the woman’s family of her passing. The woman's name is being
withheld by local media until the woman’s family has been notified. The Daily Star previously reported on a deceased British tourist who was found naked on the Full Moon Party island in
Thailand. Officers rushed to the scene after the 54-year-old woman was discovered washed up on a beach in Koh Phangan, southern Thailand. She was found lying face-down, clad only in an
orange bra, with her underwear found nearby on the shore. Police stated there were no indications of assault on her body. The Full Moon Party, which started on the island of Ko Phangan in
1985, occurs monthly on Haad Rin Beach - on the night of, before, or after every full moon. This year's event is due to take place next week. Police Lieutenant Pongnaphat Somboon of the
Koh Phangan Police Station said: "An X-ray of the victim's body found a large amount of sand and water in her lungs. We believe the cause of death was drowning. We will call the
British Embassy to notify her relatives." Article continues below The woman's body has been taken to Koh Phangan hospital for a post-mortem examination. The tourist was discovered
by a local villager named Theerapong while he was out walking in the area at 6.30am.
