VIEWERS WERE NOT HAPPY AS THEY WATCHED COMEDIAN ALEX BROOKER TRY TO WIN AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FOR SOCCERAID BY TAKING ON THE FORMIDABLE BANKER IN THE LEGENDARY GAMESHOW 21:52, 07 Jun
2025 Viewers have been left livid after making the same complaint about Deal or No Deal. Hosted by ITV favourite Stephen Mulhern, the show made a triumphant return last year, much to
viewers' delight. The show once again features the mysterious Banker, who was revealed to be a major star in one high-intensity installment. The show came back on our screens on ITV1 on
Saturday evening (June 7) as part of the channel's bid to raise money for SoccerAid, which takes place next weekend. The show featured comedian and SoccerAid regular Alex Brooker
carefully making his way through the game, trying to win as much money as possible for UNICEF. A host of major footballing stars made cameos during the show including I'm A Celeb star
Jill Scott, as well as Gladiators icon Diamond, whose real name is Livi Sheldon. As the game got underway, The Last Leg star Alex had already made good progress, eliminating three blues to
just two reds. Speaking to the Banker for the first time, Alex was offered a meagre sum of just £1,414, which he immediately rejected. However, things did not get any better for the comedian
after the second round, with the Banker only upping his offer to just £2,460, despite having some big money still on the board. Article continues below Later on in the game, Alex still had
both the £50k box and the £75k box still in play, as well as four other reds. However, the Banker was still keeping the purse string tight, offering Alex just £3,370 to buy the box and for
him to walk away. Fans were not happy to see the Banker being so stingy with the money, given the circumstances of the game and many soon flocked to social media to make their voices heard.
One disgruntled viewer said: "ITV are the stingiest b******s; £8,000 is a shite offer for charity as well!" Another user was similarly unimpressed, directing their anger at host
Stephen on social media, fuming: "What a poor money for charity on Deal or No Deal tonight, don't you think Stephen?" A third could not believe the lack of generosity by the
Banker and furiously typed: "£2,460?! F**k off Banker, it's for charity you tight-arse!" Other unhappy viewers were not happy with the "appalling offers" that were
being made by the Banker. Another viewer was left fuming, penning: "Only £1,414? Come on Mr. Banker." Article continues below Despite viewers' growing anger at the stinginess
of ITV bosses on the show, Alex pressed on and managed to get down to the final three boxes. Tensions were running high by the end, as the final three values left in the game were £100, £10k
and £50k, with the Banker finally loosening up, offering £13,780 for the box. Alex opted to accept the offer, before the final box was eliminated - leaving either £100 or £50,000 in his own
box. He ended up breathing a sigh of relief once Stephen revealed he only had just £100 in his box, giving the Banker a "spanking" for accepting the offer while it was high. _FOR
