Peter Fonda is set for a guest starring/recurring role in HBO‘s _Max_, HBO’s single-camera comedy pilot directed/executive produced by Lena Dunham and written/exec produced by Murray Miller.
Set for regular roles opposite lead Lisa Joyce are writer-performer Rebecca Drysdale and Edgar Blackmon. _Max_ is described as a raucous comedy set in 1963 about the struggles of second
wave feminism, centered on an ambitious magazine writer, Maxine Woodruff (Joyce), looking for liberation. Fonda plays Edward Woodruff, Max’s father. Drysdale is Donna Pinasco, one of Max’s
office-mates. Blackmon is Clarence, the cheerful coffee boy who offers Max workplace counsel. Executive producing alongside Miller and Dunham are Jenni Konner and Ilene Landress — all four
also executive produce Dunham’s HBO comedy series _Girls._ Fonda recently starred opposite Nicolas Cage in the feature _The Runner_. He is repped by Untitled Entertainment, Pure Arts
Management and APA. Drysdale wrote on all five seasons of Comedy Central’s _Key & Peele,_ for which she shared three Emmy nominations. She was also a writer on the upcoming FX series
_Baskets_ starring Zach Galiafiankis. This marks the first series regular role for Drysdale who has guest starred on _Orange Is the New Black, Man Seeking Woman_ and_ The Mindy Project_
among others. She is repped by WME and Apostle’s George Heller. Blackmon is with Innovative Artists and 3 Arts.
