Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ critically acclaimed play _Appropriate_, starring Sarah Paulson and Corey Stoll, will extend its limited engagement by 13 weeks with a commercial transfer from its
current home at the Hayes Theatre to the Belasco Theatre, producers Second Stage announced today. The producers cited overwhelming ticket demand for the extension. The Belasco engagement
will begin March 25 and run through June 23. With the extension, _Appropriate_ will be running through the potentially lucrative Tony Awards season. The production is almost certain to be in
the running when awards are handed out on June 16. The production will conclude its run at the Hayes on March 3. M_other Play_, the new Paula Vogel play starring Jessica Lange, begins
previews at the Hayes on April 2, with an official opening date set for April 25. WATCH ON DEADLINE The transfer engagement will feature original company members Paulson, Stoll, Michael
Esper, Natalie Gold, Graham Campbell, Alyssa Emily Marvin, Lincoln Cohen and Everett Sobers. Elle Fanning, who originated the role of “River,” is unavailable to transfer with the production;
her replacement will be announced in the coming weeks, according to Second Stage. The transfer moves the production from the non-profit Hayes to a commercial run at the Belasco. The
commercial run is produced by Ambassador Theatre Group, Amanda Dubois, Annapurna Theatre, Bad Robot Live, Runyonland, Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson and Bee Carrozzini in association with
Second Stage Theater. _Appropriate_, according to producers, “is on track to be Second Stage’s most successful Hayes production ever.”
