Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus _Padmavati_ has been caught in the eye of the storm, courtesy the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, a caste group formed in 2006. The members of the group not

only vandalised the _Padmavati_ sets in Jaipur and manhandled the filmmaker, but as the release drew closer, Karni Sena left no stone unturned to protest against the film, which they

believed showcases a distorted history. Apart from vandalising a theatre in Rajasthan that had played the trailer, blocking access to the Chittorgarh Fort, declaring bandhs, the patron of

Karni Sena Lokendra Singh Kalvi is rallying across the country and giving interviews to the media in order to put forth the objections of the Rajput Community on the film. The Karni Sena,

who takes great pride in what they do and how some states have submitted to their need for ban, has also organised a press conference in the national capital for interactions with media

personnel on a larger scale. So much so that the group, which is blatantly active on Twitter and Facebook, has even hired a PR firm to help them promote their stand on the controversial

film. Well, with the way Karni Sena is stepping up their protests, we wonder what fate will the Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor-starrer have in the days to come?
