Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Vaisakhi, Mesadi, Rongali Bihu, Vaishakhadi and Vishu. In his message, he said that celebrated with
great fanfare and vigour in various parts of the country, these festivals herald the beginning of the harvest season and the commencement of the traditional New Year. "I extend my
heartfelt greetings and good wishes to the citizens of our country on the auspicious occasion of Vaisakhi, Mesadi, Rongali Bihu, Vaishakhadi and Vishu," he said. "May the festivals
bring prosperity and happiness for all and promote the spirit of unity, amity and peaceful coexistence amongst us," he added.
