Delhi Mayor Prithviraj Sawhney said no officer can exempt himself from duty and all queries raised by the CVC will be replied. Municipal Corporation of Delhi today said it will soon reply to
the queries raised by Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) probing Commonwealth Games related projects and attributed the delay in filing responses to the officials' preoccupation with
the sporting event. Delhi mayor Prithviraj Sawhney said no officer can exempt himself from duty and all queries raised by the CVC will be replied. "Upto October 13, every officer was
busy with the Games. They were awfully busy this month and that was the main reason. Now we are free. We are deciding all those things," he said. "If something comes to me, we will
take action. No officer can exempt himself from duty," he said. Sawhney noted that it was the duty of the officer to give proper reply to the CVC. "I think the reply has been
given already but if some other queries come to us that will also be sorted out," he said responding to CVC remarks that MCD has no responded to some of their queries.
