C-DAC wants to launch three products: Perso-Arabic language suite, I-Care@ Home and free online Sanskrit course. On the occasion of its silver jubilee foundation day, Centre for Development
of Advance Computing (C-DAC) wants to launch three products: Perso-Arabic language suite, I-Care@ Home and free online Sanskrit course. The products will be launched by minister of state for
communications and IT, Sachin Pilot at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics at 9 am on Friday. At a press conference on Thursday, C-DAC director general Rajat Moona said,
"Perso-Arabic language suite is a solution for Indian languages like Urdu, Sindhi and Kashmiri written in Perso-Arabic. This tool has been developed by Mahesh Kulkarni, associate
director and head of department of GIST." The free online e-learning course for Sanskrit has been developed and designed by Ramanujan P. There would be a basic learning course for those
who want to learn the language, said Ramanujan, adding that there are courses for graduate and postgraduate students. "I-Care@Home is not a substitute for doctors, but a preventive
measure for common diseases like cough, cold, loose motions and headache," said Madhuri Dhurandhar, who developed this tool. She added, "It is designed in Hindi, English, Bengali
and Assamese. It has links for ayurveda and others."
