If you've flown with Ryanair in the past, you'll be aware that their bag policies are stringent, and many people have been asked to pay more for having the incorrect sized bag.

When you're at the airport and in the holiday mood, that's the last thing you want to happen, but one man reckons he has the perfect hack to circumvent these stresses.

Rob Adcock, from Stoke-on-Trent, often shares travel tips, advice, and tricks, showing people how to get away without breaking the bank, and he's shared his most ambitious trick to date

- getting 20kg of luggage on the plane completely free of charge.

In the clip, which got over 2.4 million views from those keen to save money, he showed just how you can do this on a £15 Ryanair flight - as often, the flight itself is cheap, but the

luggage prices are anything but.

So how did he do it? He put his clothes through a vacuum pack machine to make them as small as possible. As he picked up his squashed garments, he laughed and said: "Look at it".

strategy was risky (Image: Jam Press/@robadcock)

He then placed several of the vacuum packed parcels into his rucksack, which he was allowed on the flight, and boarded the plane without having to fork out a single penny.

In the video, he wrote: "POV: You've vacuum packed all your suitcase to fit into a free Ryanair bag so you don't have to pay to hold luggage".

This hack also means that you won't have to wait around for your checked-in suitcase on the baggage carousel, which can sometimes take hours when the airport is busier than usual.

Some were really impressed with the hack, joking it was the "packing cube final boss," but others pointed out some flaws in his plan.

"How are you supposed to vacuum it back up before going back on the plane when going home?" someone asked.

Another added: "Vaccum packed stuff is HEAVY," followed by two laughing emojis.

But it seemed to work for him (Image: Jam Press/@robadcock)

One woman pointed out that this would make all the clothes "creased," which would be less than ideal when you're on holiday trying to look your best.

A TikTok user shared: "Literally saw someone get caught doing this in Budapest today. It didn’t end well," although they didn't expand on what happened when the passenger did get

caught.

On social media, other people have been sharing 'vacuum bag for Ryanair,' which is a specific backpack where you can take a handheld vacuum that does the trick, making your clothes

so much smaller when you're packing. And, it saves you having to vacuum pack individual bags.

However, it's worth remembering that Ryanair has a 10kg limit on hand luggage. If you get caught by airline staff weighing bags, you could be forced to pay more money to get your

flight.

It's definitely a risky strategy, but it paid off for this passenger on this occasion!
