Eid al-Adha is an Islamic festival which is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice. Celebrated on the tenth day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, it will be taking place on Friday, June


6. It is celebrated over three or four days from Thursday, June 5, to Monday, June 9. It commemorates the Islamic belief of Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael.


Muslims make special Eid prayers, dress in new clothes and visit friends and family. Families tend to exchange gifts and participate in the Qurbani ritual of 'sacrificing' an


animal, and sharing the meat with family and friends. Muslims attend prayers at mosques and centers. Below is breakdown of events occurring in key areas of Yorkshire, including Bradford,
