Olympian Adam Peaty was a guest on today’s edition of BBC Breakfast where he spoke about his upcoming stint in Strictly Come Dancing. However, the star later took to Twitter to apologise to
his rival Dan Walker after he said he’s “just got to beat Dan Walker”. Appearing on the morning news show, Adam chatted to Louise Minchin and Jon Kay. He made the admission after they asked
him about his chances on the new series of Strictly. Louise asked him: “What’s your approach to Strictly, super competitive?” Adam cheekily replied: “I’ve just got to beat Dan Walker - where
is he?” READ MORE: MONTY DON INUNDATED WITH SUPPORT AS HE POSTS ‘DEVASTATING’ UPDATE Several BBC Breakfast viewers weighed in on the moment, taking to social media to share their

show. Adam called out “mind games” of his other celebrity contestants. He said: “It’s all mind games, Zoe. I reckon some of them are saying, ‘I’ve never had dance lessons before.’ “But
someone like Dan Walker, I know he’s a dark horse. “So we’ll see but until we start getting going I think it’s all mind games.” Adam added: “But it’s also, we’re there to have a good time,
you know? “And hopefully [we’ll] pull each other up.”
