All eyes are on the Olympic athletes in Rio as they compete for the gold. But we have a feeling Russian diver Nadezhda Bazhina is wishing her recent dive wasn’t quite so public. She’s won
multiple gold medals at several European Championships. But clearly she was suffering an off day when she took to the springboard. The athlete was competing in the 3m springboard preliminary
round. But her three and a half somersault did not go to plan. She appeared to lose her footing as she sprang from the board. She smacked the water back-first, much to the amusement of
commentators and viewers. It all starts off well, as he lumbers up to perform his dive. But as he leaps into the water, he botches his dive and lands painfully on to his back. He certainly
made a splash with the judges, who are seen taking cover after being sprayed by his unfortunate dunking. Have you been glued to the 2016 Rio Olympics?
