A park ranger has captured the moment Mother Nature created a bolt that is the spitting image of a T-Rex. With its jaws wide open, this terrifying lightening bolt looks like a tyrannosaurus
rex preparing for its feast. Thankfully, it is just an illusion, and occurred during a lightning storm in Arizona, USA. The incredible picture was taken in the Petrified Forest National Park
in Arizona in 2013, but has only just been shared online. Taken by park ranger Hallie Larsen three years ago on July 26, 2013, she told rex Shuttercock: "I was taking a lunch break at
Blue Mesa when this storm rolled up during the monsoon season some years ago. I love storms, but also have a lot of respect for them. “I stayed in the car with the windows rolled up, making
sure that I didn’t touch any metal. I set my camera for multiple shots and just kept snapping, hoping for a good one. This happened to be one of my shots I absolutely loved."I tend to
look for great settings for watching storms not difficult at Petrified Forest National Park. "Blue Mesa is one of my favourite spots with its dramatic blue, purple, and grey
badlands." The US Department of the Interior just this week posted the snap on social network sites Facebook and Twitter - and it has been a direct hit with web users. Writing on their
Facebook page, the US Department wrote: “Have you ever seen lightning makes such crazy shapes? This bolt looks like a Tyrannosaurus rex chomping a formation at Blue Mesa in Arizona's
Petrified Forest National Park.” But Facebook users reckon they see something else instead. One wrote: “I saw a cougar stalking its prey. Awesome either way!”
