Galaxy Watch was announced by Samsung at its Unpacked event in New York City on August 9 and touts improved battery life and a new design. The wearable will be available to customers in the
UK on September 6. It will come in two sizes; a 42millimetre case and a 46millimetre with the former costing £279 and the latter coming in at £299. However, during the announcement of the
product, Samsung also announced another model which will feature cellular network connectivity - allowing it to work without the need for a smartphone. This device sounds like a good option
for those that want to stay connected at all times but such a feature could bring an extra cost for Samsung fans to take into account. Firstly, the device itself is more expensive than the
standard Galaxy Watch with US pricing adding an extra $50. The connected version won't arrive in the UK for a few months but it's likely to cost around £50 more than what's
currently on offer. Then there's the price of using it. Samsung says that it will launch the Galaxy Watch with the EE network - something Apple did when it revealed its new connected
watch last year. Prices to use the Cellular Apple Watch start from around £5 per month and expect something similar from the Galaxy Watch. There is currently no official word on when the
Galaxy Watch with built-in cellular connectivity will be made available in the UK. Besides the absence of an LTE connection, the regular version of Samsung's latest wearable comes with
all the features that were announced at the tech giant's recent Unpacked event. That means smartwatch fans will be able to track over 40 different exercises using their wrist. The
device will also start tracking workouts within 10 minutes of beginning an exercise. Galaxy Watch is also capable of monitoring stress levels and sleeping patterns.
