PRINCE CHARLES SPEAKS AT DEDICATION OF UK POLICE MEMORIAL Prince Charles is "being dragged into" a row between Mr Elliot, the nephew of the Duchess of Cornwall, and telecoms
millionaire Mohamed Amersi, sources have said. Mr Amersi paid a membership fee for a number of years to Mr Elliot's luxury concierge company Quintessentially. RELATED ARTICLES Through
this service, Mr Amersi told yesterday the Sunday Times he obtained access to the Prince of Wales, whom he met over dinner at Dumfries House in January 2013. After meeting Prince Charles, Mr
Amersi eventually donated £1.2million to the royal's charities. Mr Amersi was also a trustee of the Prince's Trust International - a charity supporting young people and tackling
youth employment - between 2015 and 2019. In his interview, Mr Amersi praised Prince Charles for his philanthropic work, describing it as "inspirational" and
"phenomenal". Prince Charles had dinner with telecoms millionaire Mohamed Amersi in January 2013 (Image: GETTY) Ben Elliot is the founder of Quintessentially (Image: GETTY) He went
on claiming a number of people attending Prince Charles's events "were introduced to us as also global elite members" of Quintessentially. The relationship between Mr Amersi
and Mr Elliot - who in July 2019 became Chairman of the Conservative Party - has recently soured after the telecoms millionaire accused the Tory Party of failing to offer him enough public
support. The tycoon found himself in a dispute with former Tory MPs Sir Nicholas Soames and Charlotte Leslie, concerned about his attempts to set up a foreign policy initiative on the Middle
East. Mr Ameris has donated to the party £750,000 every year since 2017 - a sum he described as "not insubstantial". READ MORE: QUEEN'S HUGE HINT TO ROYALS THAT HARRY AND

the decency to phone" and offer support - something he claimed never happened. The revelations made by Mr Ameris regarding his meeting with Prince Charles sparked accusations Mr Elliot
had profited from his family ties with the royal. Sources close to the Prince of Wales believes he is "collateral damage" for a dispute between Mr Ameris and Mr Elliot. The
sources, who spoke to the Telegraph, also said the prince was being "dragged into" a row described as a "political story about Tory infighting which the prince is being
wrongly involved in". DON'T MISS Prince Charles is the future King (Image: GETTY) Camilla became the Duchess of Cornwall in 2005 (Image: GETTY) The Telegraph also reported friends
pointing out Prince Charles has a number of charitable interests and it's not surprising he seeks funding from wealthy benefactors. They added Mr Elliot, who launched Quintessentially
in 2000, is entitled to have other interests - such as being the Tory Party chairman - and it would be wrong to preclude him because he is Charles's nephew through marriage.
Express.co.uk has contacted Clarence House for comment. Mr Elliot, a friend of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, is now facing questions about whether he used his family links to earn money for
his company. The line of succession to the throne (Image: EXPRESS ) However, a friend of Camilla's nephew was reported in the Telegraph saying Mr Elliot did not "sell access"
to Prince Charles and that his work as co-Chairman of the Tory Party was "entirely separate from his other interests". A spokesman for Mr Elliot said: "Mr Elliot assisted Mr
Amersi in meeting the Prince of Wales because he wanted to support the prince's charitable work, and Mr Elliot is proud that led to large donations from Mr Amersi to good causes.
"This was entirely about helping to raise money for charity.” The spokesman added: "Mr Elliot does not raise money from Quintessentially members in his role as Conservative Party
chairman.” Prince Charles and Camilla on their wedding day (Image: GETTY) One Conservative MP said Mr Elliot should offer an explanation to the 1922 committee of backbench Tory MPs. They
added: "There has at least got to be some accountability for the man. "That really should come from Downing Street, but if it’s not going to come from the top, it should come from
the parliamentary party." Labour Party Chairwoman Anneliese Dodds wrote yesterday to Amanda Milling - another Chair of the Conservative Party - calling for a full list of all Advisory
Board meetings and any minutes taken at them. Ms Dodds said: "The Conservatives have serious questions to answer over this latest cash for access scandal. "The way that Boris
Johnson and his friends go about their business seems to be less about what is right and more about what they can get away with."
