Dressage ace Lee Pearson won his 14th title, wheelchair athlete Andrew Small triumphed in the 100m and archer Phoebe Paterson Pine scored gold on her Games debut.

Jonnie Peacock could not retain his titles from London and Rio in the T64 100m, having to settle for bronze.

But the 28-year-old former Strictly contestant, who has been injured this year, said: "It's tough. I've got to be grateful."

Horseman Lee, 47, shared that spirit as he won individual freestyle test (grade II) gold on his horse Breezer.


He said: "I am so proud of my horse. He was like a baby lion in that arena. I held his hand, he held mine. I am unbelievably proud of him."

Lee's teammate Georgia Wilson took the bronze in the event.


Earlier, wheelchair racer Andrew, 28, won T33 100m gold on the track. He said: "I don't ever expect outcomes, I just go and do it and see what happens – and hey ho this is where we got."


Bow woman Phoebe, 23, who has spina bifida, was a late callup to the Tokyo 2020 squad.


She said: "I've worked incredibly hard and there was always a chance. But I still feel I'm living in a dream."

Equestrian Natasha Baker took silver in the grade III event for her third medal of the Games.


Harri Jenkins was third in the T33 100m and powerlifter Louise Sugden also landed a bronze.
