Met Office Weather forecasts have revealed a temperate December so far, with mild conditions for the early days in the month. Wet weather is an unfortunate side effect of this,  ranging from


a light drizzle to heavy downpours. The most intense rainfall is presenting in a band across the country, mainly around the south east and Midlands. Thankfully for many however, it seems


the conditions may be short lived. WHEN WILL IT STOP RAINING TODAY? The Met Office weather forecast for the south of the country is foretelling a temporary rain spell to last into the


afternoon. There is also a risk of gales pushing towards the coast before the rain dissipates. The latest forecast reads: “Rain, sometimes heavy, will affect all areas this morning, along


with windy conditions and a risk of coastal gales. “Becoming dry from the west this afternoon, with some sunny spells possibly developing, as the wind eases a little. “Very mild. Maximum

likely to start up again come the evening, with sometimes heavy rain in the south east. Tonights forecast reads: “Dry at first before rain, sometimes heavy, arrives this evening and then

WEATHER FORECAST FOR DECEMBER? Reliable forecasts for December cover the next two weeks, up until December 14. The forecast for the beginning of the month is mild, with middling


temperatures set to continue with ‘unsettled’ weather. This means the rain and win will continue on, but will be dispersed with periods of sun and periodic gales. Longer and drier interludes

the month, the forecast is predicting unsettled weather will still reign, with possible storms ahead. The Met Office December forecast reads: “As we head into the middle of December there


are signs that it will turn unsettled again with more generally wet and windy weather affecting the UK. “This will bring heavy rain and gales or severe gales, with a chance that it may even


turn stormy at times. “Overall, it is likely to be mild across much of the country with snow tending to be confined to hills in the north. However, in any drier interludes it will turn


colder.”
