BBC Meteorologist Darren Bett warned viewers there will be a “risk of coastal flooding” for southern parts of the North Sea. The weather presenter noted the past few weeks have brought
“bouts of heavy rain”, leading to flooding across southern parts of Europe. However, he also forecast the next few days will see things quieting down a bit. Mr Bett said: “Looking further
north, there’s a very strong jet stream coming right the way across the Atlantic, forcing in all this cloud here, which is bringing in some stronger winds across northern Europe and cloud.
“Some outbreaks of rain and wetter weather heading towards those Baltic states. “For northern parts of Scandinavia, we’re still in the cold air, likely to be some snow. “There will still be
one or two showers towards the eastern side of the Mediterranean.” READ MORE: BBC WEATHER: ’STORMY TIMES AHEAD IN NEXT 24 HOURS’ AS ‘THREAT’ OF SNOW The BBC presenter continued: “The
earlier, heavier ones through the Adriatic to Albania and Greece. “Those should be fading away a bit on Saturday so it’s turning drier here. “For much of Iberia, it will be dry, the sunnier
skies will be in the east this time. “There’s more cloud if you move into central Europe.” The meteorologist forecast: “Over the course of the beginning of next week, there’s risk of some
coastal flooding for southern parts of the North Sea. “It gets a bit colder for London and Paris. “Some more sunshine on the way for Rome, and again generally dry here. “There will be colder
weather after it turns milder briefly in Berlin, but that milder air pushes into Moscow. “Warmest weather with some showers in the Med.”
