“Terrible times” are approaching with many signs the apocalypse will definitely happen, it has been claimed. This coming apocalypse has been blamed on humanity rejecting the notion of God,
leading to a lifestyle of sin and selfishness. Conspiracy theorists believe capitalism and loose morals are on the rise, something which will preclude the return of Jesus Christ who will
bring Judgement Day. This is coupled with the apparent “weakening” of the church, which fits in with the anti-God agenda. Christians point to the Bible passage Timothy 3:1-5 which reads:
“Mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. “People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of
godliness but denying its power.” Christian apocalyptic website Signpost of the End Times believes we are beginning to see the materialisation of these predictions, and Jesus’s return is
imminent. The blog said: “It will get so bad, that even during the darkest of days during the Tribulation, people will not repent of their sinful lifestyle. “This global rejection of
God's decrees and the replacement with mankind's evil desires is yet another sign that we are near to the end. “Soon Jesus Christ will re-enter this world. First, to take home his
true Church, (followers of Christ), and then after a period of horrendous judgement, to return bodily to the earth to reclaim what it his.”
