Ambulance returned to BBC One, this time based in Greater Manchester as the paramedics of the North attended to various cases. Viewers were eager for the series to return following its

previous run on BBC following the paramedics of the West Midlands. The first case pulled at the heartstrings however, with the paramedics treating a man who had collapsed while on the

toilet. However, their efforts to resuscitate the patient failed as they could not get an output with the man passing away in the presence of his heartbroken wife. Christine told the

paramedic her husband had collapsed, leading her to make the call to the Ambulance service but he did come round. However, he fell unconscious shortly after and although they tried their

best, the paramedic informed Christine her husband had passed away. Viewers were heartbroken for Christine and took to Twitter to express their sorrow for the grieving wife. One viewer

wrote: “#Ambulance on @BBCOne That was hard to watch! and another added: “Barely 10 minutes in and I'm already crying #Ambulance.” A third stated: “I'm in tears already &

it's only just started! How am I gonna get through this whole episode.” “Wow that was a powerful moment #Ambulance @NWAmbulance,” a forth declared. Other’s praised the paramedics for

their efforts, with one viewer tweeting: “What sad start to #ambulance @NWAmbulance @NWAirAmbulance difficult decisions being made all the time, massive respect to the paramedics and team

leaders.” Referring to Christine being told the heartbreaking news, another stated: “Bless her. How kind is that paramedic too though #Ambulance.” As the tears continued to roll, a viewer

added: “Crying within 6 minutes. Amazing telly @BBCOne #ambulance.” “Sobbing my heart out at #Ambulance,” another remarked. Others wanted to console Christine: “Can someone give Christine a

hug I feel so sorry for her #ambulance.” Combined with heartbreak and praise, another viewer expressed gratifute for the ambulance service: “These Paramedics Our NHS. Real life Angels. This

programme gives me a constant lump in my throat. #Ambulance #NHS.” Throughout the episode, the paramedics of Greater Manchester were seen embarking on other cases, including a car crash.

Amongst the drama and heartbreak, there were light hearted moments when a team were called to an elderly woman who had slipped off her chair. Arriving at the home of Marianne, the paramedics

helped lift her back onto her chair after which they gave her a full check over. However, Marianne began flirting with the male paramedic, complimenting him on his tattoo’s, stating she

wanted one of her own. _AMBULANCE CONTINUES NEXT THURSDAY AT 9PM ON BBC ONE._
