Anton Du Beke revelled in his own piece of Strictly Come Dancing personal history at the weekend when he and partner Emma Barton picked up his first ever 10s on the show - but before that he
had a word for her suggesting how pleased his was with their performance.
After 17 series the longest-serving professional dancer on Strictly broke his duck.
Anton Du Beke and Emma Barton’s American Smooth was a hit with the judges, with Shirley Ballas handing the pair his first ever ten.
Then, much like buses in sparkly jackets, along came another as Bruno dished up another top mark.
These were also the first tens non-professional dancer Emma scored this series, the celebrities and pro-dancers in Claudia Winkleman’s shimmery pod chanting: "EMMA! EMMA!"

After the scores were unveiled with their customary flourish, Claudia confirmed with Anton these were his first ever full marks.
Almost out of breath from celebrating, Anton confirmed this Strictly stat.

Anton then gave Claudia a kiss on the head and interrupted her as she delivered the details on how to vote for Emma and Anton.
“17 series. You don’t understand. This is how Kevin Clifton feels. It’s lovely.”
Kelvin and Oti would later pick up three tens in their dance.

Now audio footage has been released of what Anton said to Emma after their dance and it suggests he was confident of a good mark.
As the applause rings around the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Anton and Emma share an embrace after their dance.
Even though he was pleased, he didn’t predict how pleased two of the judges were.

The released audio, shared on the official Strictly Twitter account, features other conversations had between partners mid-dance.
AJ Pritchard politely asks Saffron Barker “Will you dance with me?” during their routine, to which she replies, “Love to”.
Their genteel routine contrasts with Kelvin and Oti’s extraordinarily high-energy routine and Oti can be heard keeping a ferocious pace, shouting to be heard over the music: “Come on! Five,
six, seven, eight!”
