Bargain Hunt viewers were less than impressed after watching experts guide their teams to spectacular losses. Fans quickly took to social media to call out Raj Bisram and David Harper for

having “no clue” during a throwback episode. Father and daughter duo Lee and Bijou came up against partners David and Sophie on their quest to procure a coveted Golden Gavel. After donning

the iconic blue fleeces, Lee and the paralegal discovered that David Harper, 57, would be guiding them through the experience. Meanwhile, the red team were introduced to Raj, 68, who helped

them scour markets around West Sussex. The latter helped his side pick out a gilded cherub ornament, a vintage sign and a pair of fire dogs for the auction house. Elsewhere, with David’s

guidance, the blue team snapped up a £90 wristwatch and a pair of flasks modelled as boots. They also bought a Georgian spigot which was later estimated to sell at £40 despite it costing

£100. Once at auction, the red team realised that their items may not have been as valuable as first suspected. They eventually made a staggering loss of £115 on their three purchases. After

experiencing initial disappointment, Raj offered them a lifeline and wheeled in a toy kart as his bonus buy. “Two things - one is that they love toys here and two, you loved it. So, I

thought ‘to hell with it’,” he explained. The expert revealed he’d paid £65 for the bonus buy, which eventually made a £5 profit at auction. The blue team made a similar loss of £124 on

their three items before also taking a gamble on the bonus buy. David had picked up a “uber stylish” 1900s trinket tray for the pair, which eventually sold for a profit of £34. Luckily, the

blue team’s extra item sealed their win over the red team, and host Natasha Raskin Sharp soon declared Lee and Bijou as the show’s winners. However, fans were quick to take to social media

to blast David and Raj for allowing their team to accumulate high losses. One user of X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “Harper another expert with no clue #bargainhunt.” A second said:

“Raj is completely useless #BargainHunt.” Another simply commented: “Pitiful”, while a fourth user said: “Average ‘experts’ today and a pretty uninspiring auction house.” “Well I'm not

impressed #BargainHunt,” typed a fifth. _TUNE INTO EPISODES OF BARGAIN HUNT EVERY WEEKDAY AT 12.15 ON BBC AND BBC IPLAYER._
