Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag looks set to receive a helping hand in the transfer market from one-time Red Devils coach and current Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna. United are
widely reported to be looking to move on a number of fringe players this summer, with the likes of Dean Henderson and Harry Maguire among those to have recently been linked with exits.
Brandon Williams is another United player kicking around on the sidelines and does not appear to be in Ten Hag's plans despite featuring regularly in pre-season. It seems as though the
defender will soon leave Old Trafford on loan and reunite with McKenna by joining Ipswich until the end of the campaign, according to TEAMtalk.
Williams worked alongside McKenna during the latter's time as a coach at United, with the Ipswich boss having initially been mentored by Jose Mourinho. He stayed on after the Portuguese
manager's exit to form part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's coaching team before leaving to manage Ipswich in 2021.
McKenna has since enjoyed a brilliant start to his managerial career, leading the Tractor Boys back to the Championship in his first full campaign at Portman Road last season. He will be
hoping for Williams to provide adequate cover at left-back over the coming months, with Leif Davis likely to remain the established starter.

Williams could also feature on the right side of Ipswich's defence, with Harry Clarke needing to be managed carefully as he recovers from an Achilles injury. Janoi Donacien is the other
option at right-back for the Blues but he was substituted with a knock against Queens Park Rangers over the weekend.
It remains to be seen how Williams will fare in the Championship this season, with the 22-year-old having previously spent time on loan at Norwich City in the Premier League. He made 29
appearances for the Canaries but was unable to stop them from being relegated at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

Williams is only contracted to United for another year, which suggests that a loan move to Ipswich will present a golden opportunity to put himself in the shop window. He will become the
second Premier League loanee to join the Blues this summer following the recent arrival of Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson.Ten Hag revealed earlier this week that Williams could leave the
club before the end of the transfer window, while the Dutchman also said that Donny van de Beek was being considered for a potential exit."It's obvious in this moment they are looking for
something else," said Ten Hag. "But when they are here, they always do their best and they do every training. Brandon, Donny, I am pleased with their performance and also pleased with their
performance in pre-season, Brandon, Donny, and some more did a very good pre-season."
