Real Madrid want PSG star Neymar to spearhead an exciting new era at the Bernabeu, despite the Brazilian’s Barcelona roots.

Los Blancos supporters jeered the 26-year-old in the Ligue 1 giants’ 3-1 Champions League defeat last night in a match where Cristiano Ronaldo left the Brazilian in the shade.

Despite his heroics, however, many expect Real to cut Ronaldo loose in the summer with Manchester United and Chelsea circling.

And Diario Gol say Neymar’s private conversation with Barcelona star Suarez will give Real hope over a spectacular summer transfer.

It is said the forward is seriously unhappy at the Parc des Princes.

Reports have claimed he is at odds with manager Unai Emery, whose own position at the club is shrouded in uncertainty. 

Emery survived the chop by the skin of his teeth after PSG lost out on the Ligue 1 title last season.

Diario Gol say the player has told Suarez he is considering whether to join Real in the summer.

But whether or not the former Barcelona star goes through with it remains to be seen.

Should Emery remain in charge a move away is a genuine possibility.

And it appears PSG’s best hopes of keeping their talisman is to bow to his demands.

Neymar will have a chance to bounce back from his Madrid nightmare when the French side face Strasbourg on Saturday.
