MCC Transport, the intra-Asia specialist carrier of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, said this week it has revised the rotations of several of its services calling at Philippine ports.
MCC’s IA7 service will expand its rotation to a three-week round trip covering Sihanoukville, Laem Chabang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Batangas, Manila, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Ho
Chi Minh City, and Sihanoukville. It previously covered Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Manila, Keelung, Kaohsiung, and Tanjung Pelepas on a two-week rotation, according to American Shipper
affiliate ComPair Data. Changes are to due begin from Kaohsiung on Nov. 28. The line’s PHI-1 service, meanwhile, will see its rotation changed to Davao (Sasa Wharf), Davao (Sumifru Ajmr),
Pyongtaek, Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Hong Kong, Manila, and Davao. The revised service will see calls at Shanghai (both northbound and southbound) and Cagayan de Oro deleted. MCC said the
revisions will speed transit times from the Bohai Bay ports to Hong Kong, and from Hong Kong to the Philippine ports. Changes are due begin from Nov. 19. Finally, the line’s IA5 service
will also undergo major rotation changes. The revised rotation will be Kaohsiung, Manila (South Harbor), Manila (North Harbor), Tanjung Pelepas, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong,
Yantian, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Busan, Vostochniy, Gwangyang, Shanghai, Xiamen, and Kaohsiung. The revisions will see calls at the Japanese ports of Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Nagoya removed,
with the calls at Manila, Vostochniy, and Korea added. Calls in Cambodia have also been deleted. The changes are due to begin from Nov. 22.
