Top call at Skipton’s market’s second October dairy show and sale was a £1770 bid for the best priced fresh calved heifer from Jeremy Taylor, Broughton. Second best was a £1740 call for the
second prize fresh calved heifer which was also reserve overall champion in the pre-sale show. Forward from Robin Jennings, she sold to Wick Williams, with the top priced lot. Champion from
the show was a heifer from Brian Moorhouse, Bell Busk. Sired by Braedale Freemand and giving 32 litres she sold for £1710 to Mr Williams also. Average; 40 head £1556 (Craven Cattle Mart).
