12 DECEMBER 1997 ------------------------- FARMER FORGED RECORDS A NORFOLK sheep farmers record-keeping was so bad that he had to forge invoices to qualify for the sheep annual premium
scheme, a court was told. Michael Rushmer of Home Farm, Thurlton, pleaded guilty to forging invoices when he appeared before Norwich magistrates. The court heard that he had sufficient sheep
to qualify for the grant, but because he had failed to keep records of sales he had been forced to forge the invoices. In mitigation, it was said that Mr Rushmer had been suffering from
depression. He will be sentenced at a later date.
