A popular former restaurant in Surrey housed in a pictuersque Tudor farmhouse is on the market for just under £1 million. The restaurant, located in Chobham, used to be a regular haunt for

fine dining overlooking gorgeous countryside surroundings. Chobham is a pretty village in a rural setting, with common land, woodlands and fields. There are three pubs in the village, and

one micropub, making it a hub for good food and drink. The beautiful village is also close to Sunningdale and Wentworth Golf Clubs. Both towns also have train stations and are a short drive

away from Chobham. Known as The Cloche Hat during operation, the restaurant served up intricate European dishes. Kyle Robinson headed the kitchen at the Cloche Hat, which was awarded two

rosettes from the AA in 2023. Some may also recognise the restaurant as Stovells, before it was renamed Cloche Hat. The restaurant has been empty since February, 2024. The incredible

building has stood the test of time, and is believed to have been built during the Tudor era. Grade II listed, this is a wonderful location to host diners, situated on a busy road with ample

parking. Two ground floor extensions have been added to the original building, with character features throughout. Whie the property is kitted out as a restaurant, it could be used for

other purposes. According to agency Owen Isherwood, it is recommended that the next proprietor submits the appropriate licensive and permissions to use the building as a restaurant, for

example. The building comes complete with bar area, restaurant dining room, kitchen, wine cellar and offices. The property is on the market for £995,000, offers are welcomed according to the

estate agency. For more information, contact Owen Isherwood by clicking the link HERE. GET MORE NEWS FROM SURREYLIVE STRAIGHT TO YOUR INBOX FOR FREE HERE.
