A low-intensity earthquake, measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale, occurred in Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday, the local meteorological department said, adding that no reports of any resultant


casualty or damage were received. The quake with its epicenter in Jammu and Kashmir region was felt at 9.52 am. It originated at a depth of 15-km, a Met official said. The Valley is located


in an earthquake-prone zone.
