Sunny Hills trounced Troy, 61-45, in the semifinals of the Brea-Olinda tournament Saturday night at Brea-Olinda High School. The victory sends the Lancers to their third tournament
championship game this season. The Lancers (11-1) will meet Cerritos Gahr at 8:30 Monday night in the Wildcat gym. Against their Freeway League rivals, the Lancers were led by 6-foot-7
senior center Terry Mann, who had 31 points and 16 rebounds. “Mann had a great game,” Sunny Hills Coach Steve White said. “We did a good job defensively and, overall, I feel real good about
the whole thing.” Troy (8-4) pulled close in the second and third quarters, but both times the Lancers went on 13-2 scoring runs to pull away. Troy, which shot only 30.2% from the field, was
led by Santiago Allen’s 14 points. MORE TO READ
