Authorities are seeking help finding a man suspected of molesting an 8-year-old girl outside a Thousand Oaks preschool Friday afternoon.
In a sketch and description released Monday, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said the suspect is a 160-pound white man between the age of 30 and 40, standing 5 feet 10, with short blond
hair combed back and a small mustache. He was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and white pants spattered with paint.
The molestation took place about 1 p.m. in the playground of the Christian Pre-School & Kindergarten of Thousand Oaks, 301 W. Avenida De Las Flores.
AdvertisementThe girl had been playing in the playground when she was approached by the suspect, who asked her for directions to an office, according to investigators.
The man then followed the girl behind a building and forcibly held her down while molesting her. The victim’s screams helped scare the suspect away, authorities said, and he fled in a light
blue, full- or medium-sized pickup truck with an extended cab.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or can identify the suspect is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Unit in Thousand Oaks at 494-8200 or 494-8201.
