Longtime Ventura County resident and business owner Harold W. “Jerry” Holton died Thursday at a Northridge hospital after a brief illness. He was 61. Holton was born Feb. 10, 1937, in
Lubbock, Texas. He moved to Ventura from San Diego in 1959, the same year he opened Buena Roof Service. Holton is survived by three sons, Steve of Vader, Wash., Mark of Keller, Texas, and
Brian of Philomath, Ore.; three daughters, Sabrina Purifoy of Geona, Ark., Michelle Holton of Kennewick, Wash., and Heather Campbell of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Bill Holton of Bishop, six
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Cherris of Ventura Missionary Church
