A 15-year-old girl with autism who went missing for three weeks has been found in Culver City and investigators are trying to determine if she was the victim of a crime, authorities said.
Kimberly Greenberg was found Monday and reunited with her mother, according to Los Angeles police Lt. John Jenal. An unspecified number of people have been detained in connection with the
girl’s disappearance, police said. “We are trying to recreate the last three weeks,” Jenal said. “Obviously given her situation that may require some time. We have detained some people. We
want to make sure she is not a victim.” Jenal said the people who have been detained are not related to the girl. Los Angeles police have been working with the FBI as they tried to track
down the 15-year-old. Greenberg disappeared after last being seen about 8 p.m. March 24 at her Mar Vista home. According to a flier distributed by the National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children, Greenberg may have been in the company of an adult man. FOR BREAKING NEWS IN CALIFORNIA, FOLLOW @LACRIMES AND @KATEMATHER. MORE TO READ
