IT WAS THE STAR'S FIRST EVER PERFORMANCE IN LIVERPOOL AND HE DELIGHTED CROWDS WITH NEARLY THREE HOURS OF HITS 09:19, 05 Jun 2025 Bruce Springsteen kicked off his Anfield live shows last

night with an incredible setlist of hits spanning his decades-long career. The Born in the USA singer took to the stage in Liverpool for the first time ever for the first of two sold-out

Anfield shows. The 75-year-old arrived on stage to rapturous applause and a standing ovation, accompanied by loud shouts of "Bruce". He told fans at Anfield: "Good evening. It

is great for us to be in Liverpool where, for us, it all began." The singer has made wholesale changes to his setlist during the first night of his Anfield Stadium shows. The Boss has

frequently opened his shows on the tour so far with Land of Hope and Dreams, which is the name of the tour. However, he began his Anfield gig with My Love Will Not Let You Down before moving

on to Lonesome Day. Land of Hope and Dreams was the third song to feature on the setlist last night. During his performance of The Promised Land, a young girl in the crowd was captured on

the big screen playing a harmonica. Fans were brought to tears as the two shared a beautiful duet. Article continues below Approaching the end of his set, he referenced Liverpool FC's

Premier League title win this season as he told the crowd: "'Come on! Is this the house of champions or what?'" before launching into a storming performance of Wrecking

Ball. As part of his encore, he paid tribute to The Beatles by performing a special cover of Twist and Shout. The packed out crowd in Anfield were delighted as they sang along with the

track, which was originally performed by The Top Notes, but became synonymous with The Beatles in 1963. He asked the crowd to scream the loudest they could as he counted down before a

"Beatlemania" moment in Anfield. Springsteen moved into another cover of Chimes of Freedom by Bob Dylan as he brought the curtain down on his first show in Liverpool in style. THIS
