EX-MAN UTD DEFENDER RIO FERDINAND WILL BE LEAVING THE BROADCASTER AFTER A DECADE AS A FOOTBALL PUNDIT. 09:00, 31 May 2025 Ex-Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has shared a glimpse at what
the future career could hold for him as he prepares for his last job with TNT Sports this evening. Saturday night's Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan
in Munich will be his last game as the broadcaster's main football pundit. Beginning with the company when they operated under the BT Sport banner, Ferdinand has spent a decade covering
European football and the Premier League. However, he recently announced he would be stepping down at the end of his contract at TNT Sports - and shall now be devoting more time to his
YouTube channel. In a statement, he said: "I have made the difficult decision to step away from TNT Sports after the Champions league final. "Since retiring from football it has
been a privilege talking about the game that I love for a decade for sports fans watching on BT Sport and TNT Sports. I want to acknowledge the tremendous support from the team
behind-the-scenes whose hard work often goes unseen, but has been essential to our success. "To everyone at TNT Sports, we have a brilliant end to the season to look forward to on
Saturday and for now all focus will be on what I think could go down as one of the great European finals. The network continues to thrive with more rights than ever. "I know I look
forward to following its progress and the exciting future that lies ahead. Lastly, I would like to thank my family and my management company New Era for their ongoing support. Article

true as I turn the page to the next chapter I carry with me countless memories. "I'm excited about what the future holds, spending more time with my family focusing on Rio
Ferdinand Presents and my other business interests. I hope to stay connected with all of you in different capacities. "Thank you once again for everything." While remaining as a
pundit is unlikely to be his main job moving forward, Ferdinand has perhaps shared a glimpse at what the future could hold for him while in Munich this weekend. On his Instagram account, the
46-year-old has shared clips of himself offering an expert voice to different media channels, such as American broadcaster CNN. When it was previously rumoured that Ferdinand would leave
TNT Sports, it was presumed he would make the switch to America, ahead of a busy year for football in the United States. Next month, the US will host the Club World Cup and in 2026 shall be
one of three nations hosting the World Cup. CBS Sports' Golazo has grown from strength-to-strength in recent years showing the potential that a switch to American broadcasting has. For
now, that is merely a potential future for Ferdinand, while his full focus is on the Champions League final. --- Here at _The Manchester Evening News_, we are dedicated to bringing you the
