The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 27 points, or less than 0.1%, at roughly 42,546. The S&P 500 was up almost 9 points, or 0.1%, at close to 5,979. Should it rise above 6,000 on an
intraday basis or close above that level, it would be for the first time since February. The Nasdaq Composite was up almost 48 points, or 0.3%, at around 19,447.
