THERE IS A SIMPLE WAY TO MAKE BROCCOLI TASTE DELICIOUS AND IT IS ALL DOWN TO THE WAY YOU COOK IT. A CHEF HAS SHARED THE COOKING TECHNIQUE THAT WILL MAKE IT A FAN FAVOURITE ON THE DINNER
TABLE 11:22, 28 Feb 2025 Broccoli, packed with vitamins and fibre, is a fantastic addition to your dinner plate. But if you're not a fan of this green veggie, there's a simple
cooking trick that can make it taste divine. Many people are hesitant to eat broccoli due to past experiences with poorly prepared, overcooked versions that leave a bitter taste and mushy
texture. However, Erren Hart, the culinary expert behind Erren's Kitchen, has revealed an easy method to transform broccoli into a mouth-watering dish using just three ingredients.
Erren said: "Roasted Fresh Broccoli with garlic, lemon, and Parmesan Cheese, this side dish recipe is sure to be the Best Broccoli of Your Life!" READ MORE: Award-winning pram
parents 'would recommend to anyone' cut by 30% in spring sale Boiling broccoli releases sulphur compounds which can result in an off-putting taste and loss of nutrients as vitamins
C and B tend to leach out into the water. Roasting broccoli, on the other hand, caramelises its natural sugars, resulting in a rich, buttery, slightly sweet flavour and a crispy texture.
Erren added: "This simple, yet delicious twist on one of our favourite vegetables is the perfect side dish for almost any meal. I love this recipe so much that I've started
creating similar recipes with other vegetables." Article continues below To make your broccoli more appetising, start by preheating your oven to 200C, reports the Express. Rinse the
broccoli thoroughly and ensure it's completely dry before popping it in the oven to achieve that desired crispiness. To prepare the broccoli, start by detaching the florets from the
thick stalks, leaving an inch or two of stalk attached to the florets before discarding the rest. Spread the broccoli out in a large oven pan, arranging them in a single layer for even
cooking. Generously drizzle with five tablespoons of olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and toss in the garlic cloves. Culinary expert Erren advised: "Don't skimp on the oil
(even if it seems like a lot), season well, and make sure your oven is hot before adding the broccoli." Article continues below Roast the broccoli in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes until
they're crispy and the tips have caramelised. For extra crispiness, give them a flip halfway through the roasting time. Once done, immediately zest over some lemon, squeeze in the
juice, and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. This delicious broccoli dish is now ready to impress as more than just a side dish at any meal.
