INTER MILAN ARE GEARING UP FOR ONE OF THE BIGGEST GAMES IN THEIR RECENT HISTORY AGAINST PSG TONIGHT, BUT THE CLUB HAVE BEEN HIT BY TRAGIC NEWS BEFORE KICK-OFF AFTER THE DEATH OF ERNESTO
PELLEGRINI 12:05, 31 May 2025Updated 12:22, 31 May 2025 Former Inter Milan president Ernesto Pellegrini has died at the age of 84, just hours before the Italian side play PSG in the
Champions League final. Pellegrini owned Inter from 1984 to 1995 and presided over one Serie A win and two UEFA Cup triumphs. Pellegrini first joined the Inter board in 1979 after writing a
letter to chairman Ivanoe Fraizzoli, asking to become involved with the club. He was inducted into Inter's Hall of Fame in 2020 after overseeing a successful period in the club's
history that saw them sign big names like Lothar Matthaus, Jurgen Klinsmann and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Pellegrini passed away on Saturday morning at around
8am. The club posted a moving tribute towards their former president on social media and sent condolences to his family. READ MORE: Ousmane Dembele makes feelings on Kylian Mbappe clear

continued: "FC Internazionale Milano and all the Nerazzurri fans gather around his family." Inter are planning to honour Pellegrini in Munich on Saturday night by wearing black
armbands during their huge clash against PSG. The club are facing one of the biggest nights in their recent history as they bid to win their fourth Champions League title - with a huge
opportunity in front of them after knockout out one of the favourites in Barcelona. It has been 15 years since they last won the competition, when Jose Mourinho guided them to a 2-0 win over
Bayern Munich. Their opponents PSG are aiming to win the Champions League for the first time in their history. They reached the 2020 final before losing to Bayern. Article continues below
