CHELSEA HAVE STARTED TALKS WITH AC MILAN OVER A SURPRISE MOVE FOR MIKE MAIGNAN WITH THE FRANCE GOALKEEPER SET TO ENTER THE FINAL YEAR OF HIS CONTRACT AT THE SAN SIRO 11:00, 04 Jun 2025
Chelsea are set to press ahead with a move for Mike Maignan with AC Milan prepared to sanction an exit for the France star with the goalkeeper entering the final year of his deal. Maignan,
29, has garnered a reputation as one of Europe's finest keepers in recent years, establishing himself as first-choice for both club and country. However, his contract situation has
seemingly opened the door for a move with Premier League interest materialising. It emerged on Tuesday that Chelsea were interested in doing a deal for the former Paris Saint-Germain and
Lille star and that talks with Milan were already underway for a player lauded as "world class" in Italy. However, the two parties are said to be some way apart in their valuation
of Maignan, with Milan wanting £25m to part ways with their No.1. Unfortunately for the Italian giants, Sky Sports claim that Chelsea are unwilling to meet that figure given Maignan is in
the final year of his contract, meaning there will need to be work if a deal is going to be done. READ MORE: Transfer news LIVE: Postecoglou SACKED, Gyokeres' Man Utd U-turn, Arsenal

Robert Sanchez ended the season as first-choice after grappling with Filip Jorgensen for the jersey with Djordje Petrovic, Mike Penders and Kepa Arrizabalaga also under contract beyond the
summer. Article continues below But that hasn't deterred them from pursuing an opportunity that is seemingly too good to turn down with Maignan yet to commit his future to Milan. As
recently as February, the stance from Chelsea and Enzo Maresca was that they would not target a new goalkeeper this summer, partly due to a confidence that Jorgensen has big potential. _JOIN
