ABSTRACT THE February issue of the _Berichte der deutschen chemischen Gesellschaft_ contains an interesting account, by Dr. Werner Kuhn of Heidelberg, of a theory of optical rotatory power
which he has developed with conspicuous success in recent years. A mathematical treatment of the problem has also been worked out by Dr. Kuhn and was published three years ago in the
